About Montoursville, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Montoursville, Pennsylvania is a Lycoming County borough with roughly 4,800 residents. It is part of the Williamsport, PA Metro Statistical Area, and it is home to the Williamsport Regional Airport. The northern and western borders are formed by Loyalsock Creek, while the West Branch Susquehanna River is situated to the south. While Williamsport is located about six miles west, other major metro areas are a greater distance away – Scranton is 80 miles east and Philadelphia is 180 miles southeast.

While most of the region’s major attractions are found in neighboring Williamsport, there are several notable businesses in the Montoursville area. Montoursville is home to a wealth of wonderful restaurants that will satisfy any palette, including Johnson’s Café, Cloud 9, and Dolly’s Diner & Griggs Coffee. This city is a great place to find a unique local gift, with specialty shops like Wentzlers’ Farm Market, Heritage Shop, Nevill’s Flowers, and Ettinger’s Garden Center all calling the community home.  The Country Driving Range is also located in Montoursville and provides both residents and visitors a great place to practice their golf game.

The climate in Montoursville most closely resembles a humid continental zone with four distinct seasons. The year begins with a cold winter, featuring sleet, rain, and snow. Average daytime highs reach the mid-30s, but overnight lows fall well below freezing. Residents will need a reliable electric or gas furnace during these months, and a high AFUE rating will keep utility costs affordable.

Summer weather in Montoursville is hot with high humidity. July is the hottest month of the year, and average daily highs reach about 84 degrees. However, there are many days each summer where heat waves move into the area and temperatures exceed 90 degrees. An Energy Star central air conditioner can keep indoor temperatures cool while improving the quality of circulating air – an important feature for asthma and allergy sufferers.
