About Lock Haven, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Lock Haven, Pennsylvania is the county seat of Clinton County. It is located near the West Branch Susquehanna River and is home to just under 10,000 people. Originally founded as a timber town, today’s workforce is employed primarily in the education, health care, manufacturing, and social services industries. The Keystone Central School District serves Lock Haven, and higher education is also a possibility here – Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania offers a variety of undergraduate programs as well a few graduate options.

There are many things to see and do in Lock Haven. The university offers numerous public plays, concerts, and student recitals throughout the year at the Sloan Fine Arts Gallery, Sloan Auditorium, and Price Performance Center. The Piper Aviation Museum features aircraft exhibits, and every summer, the city sponsors a festival called Airfest.

Outdoor recreation is also quite popular in the Lock Haven area. The city has 14 parks and playgrounds. The largest is Douglas H. Peddle Memorial Park, which offers 80 acres of outdoor space. Hoberman Park provides local kids with a skate park, while the Lock Haven City Beach offers water access and a sand beach.

Lock Haven area residents will need to invest and maintain their home climate control systems throughout the year. During the summer months, a reliable air conditioner with a high SEER rating is a wise investment. Temperatures are hot, and with high humidity levels, conditions can become quite uncomfortable.

The winter months can be dangerous for other reasons. Temperatures fall quickly as the autumn months end, and heavy snow accumulation is a possibility. While residents can certainly upgrade to a gas or electric furnace with a high AFUE rating, existing systems should also be serviced periodically to ensure they are in proper working order. A Lock Haven area HVAC technician can also identify and correct minor problems before they warrant major and expensive repairs.
