About Montgomery, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Montgomery, PA is part of the Williamsport Metro Statistical Area. Part of Lycoming County, the borough is home to about 1,700 residents. Montgomery was originally incorporated in 1887, although its history as a settlement dates back to 1783. A distillery was the first industry in the area that achieved any sustainable success, although a wood mill and sawmill quickly followed.

Montgomery is home to several great attractions that may appeal to both visitors and residents. Golf is extremely popular in this Pennsylvania region, and Montgomery is home to the White Deer Golf Course. After a day on the greens, many visitors enjoy stopping at the Four Friends Vineyard and Winery to try a local wine. Family-friendly attractions are also available in the community, with the Pike Drive-In Theater and Freddy Hill Farms and Family Fun Center serving as the most popular destinations.

In addition to these attractions, Montgomery is home to some important businesses. There are many restaurants in which residents can grab a great meal, including the Station House, Melia’s Pizzeria, and Thad’s Place. Shopping is also available at Weis Markets, Surplus Outlet, and Susquehanna Valley Sound & Video.

Montgomery and the surrounding communities experience four seasons throughout the year, all of which offer unique weather conditions. Summers here are hot and humid, with average daily highs reaching into the mid-80s. There are several days each season in which thermostat readings will rise into the 90s, and to stay comfortable, residents rely on their central air conditioner systems. The most reliable and efficient units will have a high SEER rating.

Winters in the region are snowy and cold, with average daily highs into the 30s. Overnight temperatures fall into the teens, and driving conditions can become hazardous. The right gas or electric furnace is a necessity to keep indoor temperatures at a safe level and will also protect your home’s valuable plumbing systems.
